Launch of a bilateral partnership between Trustive and Vex gives their customers extended worldwide WiFi coverage
Trustive, a leading international WiFi hotspot access provider and N° 1 in Europe, Vex, the biggest hotspot operator in Latin America and Quiconnect specialist provider of systems integration and connectivity management solutions are pleased to be able to announce that a bilateral partnership has now gone live. The result is a greater WiFi coverage for customers on both sides; always good news for frequent travellers who are looking for viable alternatives to slow and expensive 3G roaming tariffs.
Vex’s network of 1800+ WiFi hotspots predominantly covers South America (Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, Paraguay, Venezuela, Perú and Colombia), Canada, Portugal and Spain and includes premium locations such as 105 airports (e.g. Guarulhos and Congonhas Airport in São Paulo and Antonio Carlos Jobim Airport in Rio de Janiero, both of which will be of particular interest to anyone planning to attend the Brazilian Carnival which takes place each February), hotels belonging to popular chains like Golden Tulip, Atlantica, Ibis and Windsor as well as more relaxed locations such as Juan Valdez, Starbucks, Café Martinez, Fran’s Cafe and Havanna Café restaurants and more than 360 McDonalds fast food restaurants.
Trustive gives travellers extensive WiFi coverage by combining the hotspot locations of more than 70 leading WiFi operators into one unified, global network of 90.000 WiFi hotspots and allowing Trustive customers access to these locations through a single click (single username and password plus a WiFi client that automates the log in process). Trustive’s extensive international WiFi access includes 8,000 hotels, 14,000 bars/restaurants, 350 airports (including most of the key European airports: London, Paris, Copenhagen, Amsterdam, Brussels, Berlin, etc.) and the same number of marinas as well as thousands more premium locations across 65+ countries.
Christian VanGhelder, managing director of Trustive commented that: “We are delighted to be able to welcome Vex customers onto Trustive’s global WiFi network and we are sure that they, like our own customers, will soon find our comprehensive coverage a real asset when they travel abroad.” Christian added that: “Trustive is currently striving to expand its presence on the global stage and this partnership is therefore another step in the right direction for us. An increase in coverage of 1800+ South American hotspots, including a significant number of premium locations (such as international airports and popular hotel chains) is great news for Trustive’s customer base of frequent travellers.”
Roberto Ugolini Neto, CEO of Vex, celebrates: “Our customers will experience the benefits immediately. They will have even more mobility and facility to connect to WiFi networks wherever they are”.
Jeff Mabe, Quiconnect’s Vice President, Global Sales and Marketing, says, “We’re delighted to facilitate enhanced roaming capabilities between our partner base. Both Trustive and Vex will now be able to provide access on a truly global scale.
