Trustive simplifies public access WIFI with innovative pre-paid service
Europe's largest Hotspot Aggregator introduces a simplified payment scheme to attract new users to its global WIFI network.
Amsterdam, Netherlands - 24 June 2005
Trustive, the European based international Hotspot aggregator, today announced the availability of a new Pre-paid Public WIFI service for accessing its network of 12,254 Hotspots in 49 countries. The scheme is to attract new users to public WIFI by removing over-complex subscription and payment methods, and offering access to its extensive global network on a pay-as-you-go basis.
Until recently, the market for public access WLAN or WIFI roaming had failed to live up to its potential. However, the most recent indications out of the US market suggest that the market is finally gathering pace. With WIFI near ubiquitous in new notebook computers, the largest provider of US Hotspots recently announced a more than 100% growth in new subscriptions in the past 12 months. Trustive believes that by offering a simple alternative to the current complex payment methods and binding subscriptions, it will remove a significant deterrent for wary first-time users and invoke similar growth in the European and broader international PWLAN market.
The new Trustive service, available online now at www.trustive.com, gives users a choice of 200 or 400 pre-paid minutes across its global network, with a service voucher valid for 12 months after its first activation. Only paying for time consumed on a per second basis, the user starts and stops the service at any point. They can also check account information online in real-time, and buy new credit when needed.
"The introduction of pre-paid schemes in the mobile voice market had been the cue for the huge expansion in subscriber numbers as consumer customers like the ability to control costs. Service Providers can't rely on a one-size-fits-all approach when it comes to payment," comments Gavin Dresselhuis, Managing Director of Trustive. "Our new service offers the simplicity which the market has been missing. An easy 30 Euro payment gives the travelling professional access to email, the Internet and corporate VPNs from airport lounges, hotels and at least one location in most major cities around the globe."
Trustive is Europe's premier WIFI aggregator, offering high-speed access to a global network of Hotspots through a unified service which removes complexity for the roaming WiFi user by providing advanced access to all networks with the same familiar authentication method and billing procedure.
Trustive is an active contributor to the evolution of the Public WIFI market, to deliver simpler, seamless business connections at the Hotspots, with more than 50 aggregated Partner networks worldwide.
