New mapping capability as Trustive makes MyHotspotter Windows Vista compliant
Trustive, Europe's leading wireless hotspot access provider, has added a unique and highly visual hotspot locator service to its website and downloadable MyHotspotter WiFi connection manager. The move comes as part of the company's goal to make its end user interface both very user friendly and the first to be Microsoft Windows Vista compliant. The solution is also available to Trustive wholesale customers as a white labelled smart client. It has already successfully been provided to several Trustive Wholesale customers.
The Hotspot Locator Service enables end users to immediately see the locations of the nearest WiFi services or pinpoint a hotspot on a Google Map after entering their search criteria; this is instead of getting the normal list of hotspot addresses from which they then have to click through to see where they are individually on a map. Trustive has also added the ability to search for hotspots by a favourite chain, for example, users can map all 'Best Western' hotels that have hotspots.
Bram Jan Streefland, co-founder and managing director of Trustive said: “Our recent research identified 'ease of connectivity' as the second most important factor after price for hotspot users. The new mapping capability reduces the number of clicks and screens users have to work through to get the information they want. We believe we are the first hotspot service provider to add this type of visual mapping solution and also the first to make our end-user interface Vista compliant. These actions, along with the launch of our flat-rate 'Unlimited' pricing, continue to show our commitment to making hotspot access as easy as possible for our customers.
Trustive's MyHotspotter WiFi connection manager is a piece of software that enables users to easily detect and gain secure one-click access to the global network of 28,000 Trustive hotspots which includes many prime locations and coverage at all major EU airports. MyHotspotter has it own unique email tool which enables messages, utilising an end user's existing email account, to be sent from any hotspot even if SMTP (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol) access is blocked, making being unable to send emails from a hotspot a thing of the past. Other key features of MyHotspotter include an instant account history and overview and the ability to connect to a customer's corporate network.
